The 2025 Halliday Wine Companion results are in, and we're stoked to share that we've snagged another Top 5-Red Star winery rating.
Out of the 18 wines we submitted, 11 grabbed gold medals with 95 points or above, 6 earned silver, and 1 took home a bronze.

“For whatever reason, this just has the edge compared with its two other chardonnay siblings, which are both excellent. This just seems more high-toned, flinty, racy and linear. Yet it has texture, depth and super length. All the flavours come together seamlessly, the oak a mere seasoning, and moreish acidity ensures this is delicious now and will age well”.

“Like a millefeuille, as in the French pastry, this has layers to it. Creamy in the middle, crisp pastry-like leesy flavours on the outside and plenty of grapefruit and spiced up stone fruit to satisfy. There’s some sweet-ish oak, a little spicy, too, and the final outcome is a moreish drink with the saline-like acidity keeping everything in place”.

Luscious ripe stone fruit mixed with lemon and grapefruit plus pith, crème pâtissière flavours from the lees and a lick of cedary sweetness from oak; the acidity ensures this lingers and finishes on a high”.

“This is the wild child of the family with personality to match. Hand-picked fruit, whole-bunch pressed to 700L concrete eggs without sulphur; wild-yeast fermentation and mlf, and left on its lees for eight months. A little cloudy but an appealing hay yellow, just layers of flavour with pink and yellow grapefruit and Splice Pine Lime ice-cream. It’s like a daiquiri without the alcohol punch. Fine phenolics expand the palate, and the racy acidity takes the palate for a thrilling ride”.

While it has excellent fruit, all dark cherries and raspberries with red plums dusted in sumac and licorice, it’s outlook is savoury. Full bodied, sandy, textural tannins (and lots of them) with deliciously bright acidity cracking the whip to a long finish”.

“A 51/45/4% split, vinified separately in concrete fermenters, the grenache stays as whole bunches, the other two destemmed; pressed to 2800L oak casks, blended and bottled around the 10-month mark. I like this a lot – it’s savoury, yes, good fruit the foundation but all a stepping stone. Fuller bodied, shapely, grainy tannins and juicy acidity ensure this is a bit of rock ‘n’ roll”.

“There’s a lot to consider here: it’s voluptuous, dense and richly flavoured with the black plums infused with molasses, licorice, chicory and toasty oak – the oak is a foudre, I think, but it is imparting flavour and tannins. Full bodied, firm tannins, yet there’s lovely texture, too. It needs to settle, so more time in bottle please”.
